Palladium Price Mirrors Platinum’s Strong Upward Trend – Small Investors Opportunity

Above is the chart prices for bot platinum and palladium in the past year. The similarities are striking. Many would argue that all precious metals trade in the same trends just at different prices, but this is not the case. Right now, gold shows uncertainty in the market, and it's up and down swings have become large and erratic, while silver shows mediocre signs of uncertainty, and hints toward a possible uptrend. These two metals look to be more impacted by outside factors of the economy, while platinum and palladium appear to be more stable. This may not be the case, but according to the charts, this is what it shows.

Nobody knows where the market will go, but many are uncertain of what to invest in at this time. Platinum is expensive, right now it's about $1200 per ounce. That's why palladium can be a good alternative. At only ~$230 per ounce as of this writing, it shows similar trends to its cousing platinum, and doesn't show the same erratic behavior as the more popular precious metals.

Is it a good investment? Time will tell, but it is recommended that one diversifies their portfolio, not only in different commodities, but also different precious metals.
